The future of farming depends on the future of farm research

Life on Earth is a highly complicated issue, one whose answers will never fully be understood. Humans have only been around in this universe for a brief period when compared to all other life on Earth, yet we have come to dominate the planet. One factor that helped spur our growth is the invention, or discovery of agriculture, and the development of farming. Without extensive scale farming, humans would never have grown as prosperous as we have become. Our economies depend on it, our livelihood depends on it, and our future may depend on it. In this article, I'll talk about various aspects of farming, why they are important and also try to bring out how the future of farming depends on the future of farm research.

Apparently, farms produce food. But the farms of today produce food not just for the farmers and those directly in contact with them, but for the whole world. Virtually everything you eat on a regular daily basis comes from some distant corner of the globe. Australia grows sugar and sells it to Japan. America produces rice and sells it to Asia. Brazil grows soybeans and sells them the United States. The global economy is largely dependent on the idea of large acres of land in the world selling their crop to end users around the world. Oil supply in the world has also contributed to the increase of productivity as many countries are focusing on the research hence leading to creation of job opportunities among the people.

Additionally, farming that was showing this point of the future of farming depends on the future of farm research is how we do research hence leading to development in our farms. Research done by the scientists indicates that the population has increased so much in the world to an extent that its causing the production of the food from our farms to decrease. The research is really motivating farmers making them to put more effort in their farms so as to increase yield in high rates hence indicating that future of farming depends on the future of farm research.

Lastly, another point that illustrates best on how the future of farming depends on the future of farm research is how farming allows countries to participate in the global economy and to prosper, no matter what they produce.Lets just assume that a certain country is producing only coffee, for example, that is enough for their consumption in the entire country. They simply sell all their coffee to all the other countries, and then use that money to buy whatever food they require. With each country growing whatever crop they do best, they can easily prosper and become wealthy. To sum up, I think farming is very important in our economy hence we need to focus as it increases the productivity of our nations and also increases the living standards of so many people in the world. We all need to focus on farming and gives it the first priority.
